Travel Program Information
OUR TROJAN TRAVEL MISSIONUSC Trojan Travel is dedicated to providing unique and educational travel experiences to members of the extended Trojan Family. Our core goals are to:
• Provide a comprehensive selection of travel opportunities that appeal to the diverse interests of USC alumni, families and friends
• Offer educational, cultural and intellectual enrichment consistent with the mission of the university
• Foster camaraderie and encourage meaningful connections among alumni, friends, faculty and staff
• Serve the entire Trojan Family to advance the mission and welfare of the University of Southern California and the USC Alumni Association
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TROJAN TRAVEL:
• Dates, costs, destinations and itineraries are subject to change due to local conditions; faculty participation also subject to change.
• Reservations are confirmed on a space-available basis with each tour operator, first-come, first-served.
• Trojan Travel has no control over air travel schedules. Our tour operators negotiate preferred/special group rates with major airlines that may require you to take non-direct flights due to increased traffic and/or fewer available flights to designated airports. Feel free to discuss other flight options with the tour operator. In the event of a trip cancellation or change to the tour, Trojan Travel will have no liability for the purchase of non-refundable airline tickets.
• Tour prices are listed per person and based on double occupancy. A limited number of single spaces (with a supplemental charge) are available on a first-come, first-served basis and vary by program.
• There are no eligibility or membership requirements to participate in the travel program; we welcome the extended Trojan Family!
• We strongly advise the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance. For your convenience, Trojan Travel provides an insurance option upon confirmation of your reservation. You may also apply for this insurance online on our website.
• Travelers must be in good physical and mental health and be able to match the pace of the tour in mobility and activity. Many excursions involve walking to sites not immediately accessible by bus. Variations in altitude, temperature and humidity are common. Anyone who requires assistance must be accompanied by an individual able and willing to provide the necessary support.
• Obtaining personal visas (as required) and passports, including costs, are the responsibility of each traveler.
• Trojan Travel is not responsible for the accuracy of the Trojan Travel mailing list. In addition, the timeliness by which requested changes are made is not within our control.
• Please check our website for the most up-to-date trip information. Not only are itineraries subject to change, but additional trips may be offered that are not reflected in this catalog. Some trips may also have been added.
• Cancellation penalties are determined by each tour operator, not Trojan Travel. Please read your brochure carefully.
• First and business class air reservations can be made directly with our tour operators on a space-available basis, determined by the respective airlines. Trojan Travel is happy to assist you.
• Upgrading your air reservation using personal mileage programs is very doable. However, the tour operators are not able to directly book these reservations on your behalf. Airlines will not give tour operators access to this type of booking since it involves personal credit information that in turn allows you to accumulate air miles as a reward. Each airline operates and administers its own mileage-plus program and each program varies. Thus, individuals are required to book these reservations (using mileage benefits) directly with the airlines. While Trojan Travel is not able to assist you with this specific type of air reservation, we are happy to advise the tour operator of your final air plans.
