Half Century Trojans
Who are the Half Century Trojans?
Half Century Trojans are a vibrant community which includes all USC alumni (including bachelor's, master's, doctoral and professional degree alumni) who earned a bachelor's degree from any college or university at least 50 years ago. As caretakers of USC history and tradition, Half Century Trojans are uniquely positioned to promote the Trojan Spirit and to strengthen the bonds that connect USC alumni across generations. The organization offers all senior USC alumni a variety of programs designed to stimulate university-related interest, participation and engagement. Annual signature events include Going Back to College Day in the winter and the Half Century Trojans Luncheon in the fall.
Going Back to College Day - Thursday, February 16, 2012
Join us for the fourth annual Half Century Trojans Going Back to College Day! This year's program features a slate of lectures and panels designed to showcase the best of USC while enhancing your Trojan Family connections and experiences with USC. From "Understanding Your Grandchildren: A Snapshot of the Millennial Generation" to "Making the Most of Your Money" to "Counterterrorism and Homeland Security," Going Back to College Day offers something for everyone. This event concludes with the Going Back to College Day Lunch, featuring a presentation on USC's social entrepreneurship program by USC Marshall School of Business faculty member Adlai Wertman, as well as a special performance by the Thornton School of Music's Chamber Singers. UPDATE: Do to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Professor Richard Dekmejian will replace his colleague Erroll Southers for the lecture on "Counterterrorism and Homeland Security."

Scholarships
Half Century Trojans strengthen the university's legacy by sponsoring the Half Century Trojans Scholarship Program, which annually confers scholarships of $10,000 each to a number of direct descendents of Half Century Trojans. The scholarships, open to incoming and continuing USC students, are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership potential and community service.

How do I get involved?
There is no formal registration process to become a Half Century Trojan; all USC-degreed alumni automatically become Half Century Trojans once they reach the 50-year anniversary of receiving their undergraduate degree.
