Trojan Affiliates
About Us
The University Service Group was founded in 1966 in order to develop and sustain a successful Troy Alumni Thrift Shop. The funds raised provided scholarships for deserving students to receive a USC education. The first scholarship was awarded in 1969. In 1972, the name of the group was changed to Trojan Affiliates. The Thrift Shop is no longer, but fundraising tactics (including a line of over fifty USC products) in recent years have been successful in raising scholarship money. In 2007-2008, the organization will award thirteen $1,000 scholarships, matched by the university.
Membership
The organization is comprised of alumnae and friends of USC who desire to promote friendship, loyalty and cooperation with USC, and who wish to participate in successful fundraising projects that provide scholarships for deserving students.
Scholarships
Scholarships range from $500-$1,000. Scholarships are given to USC undergraduate students from the San Gabriel Valley who have shown both academic and community service excellence. The scholarships renew each year and support them throughout their USC career.
