  • Incorporating career/professional programming - Find out about career services currently available to alumni through the university and learn how to leverage and complement these services through programs your organization can offer to your members. Featuring Lori Shreve Blake, Director, Alumni and Student Career Services, Byron Howard, USC Alumni Club of North Texas/Dallas, and Tim O’Shea, USC Marshall Orange County.
  • Being relevant across generations - Obtain a basic understanding of what values attract each generation to participate as alumni, identify some generational message gaps and potential issues with communication channels and discover some applicable examples of what has engaged the different age groups in the past. Featuring Donald Dean, Second Decade Society, Julie Lindeen, Young Alumni Council, Suzanne Reichart, USC Alumni Club of Chicago and Barney Rosenzweig, USC School of Cinematic Arts Board of Councilors.
  • Engaging alumni through communications and social media - Learn and share best practices for keeping your audience connected to the university beyond simply sending emails that advertise upcoming events. Featuring Erika Crespo, USC Alumni Club of Long Beach, Minne Ho, Assistant Vice President, Marketing-University Communications, Jen Ladwig, USC Alumni Club of London and Justin Unell, USC Alumni Club of Kansas City.
  • Building an effective board - Discover tools and best practices in building a board that is effective in carrying out its mission, diverse in membership, clearly defines the roles of its leadership, and establishes succession strategies to cultivate future leaders.
