Scholarship Committee

The BAA Scholarship Committee typically receives more than 500 applications every year. Working in teams, committee members evaluate these applications and conduct interviews with students. No prior experience is required to be a part of the evaluation teams—simply a commitment to the volunteer and scholarship process. The majority of the committee work is conducted over two weeks in late February and early March.

Recruitment & Retention Committee

Recruitment and Retention
The BAA Recruitment and Retention Committee works as an outreach partner with the USC Office of Admissions. Every fall, the committee hosts the Welcome Pinning and Affirmation Ceremony; committee members also participate in high school and community college fairs throughout the year. In addition, the committee participates in the annual USC Black Graduation Ceremony every May.
