LAA Scholarship Gala Lights the Way for Student Success

Oh, what a night! The Trojan Familia came together Saturday, March 7 for the USC Latino Alumni Association’s annual Scholarship Gala. More than 550 alumni and friends gathered for a powerful evening celebrating legacy, leadership and shared investment in future generations of USC students.

Generous LAA donors and sponsors gave over $600,000 to support scholarships and LAA programs — including $135,000 contributed during the gala. Their gifts allow the Latino Alumni Association to award life-changing scholarships and develop opportunities for Trojans to pursue their dreams.

The evening also honored alumni leaders and USC students making meaningful contributions to their communities. Gina Zapanta ’03 and Randall Martinez ’89 received the Legacy Award and Visionary Award, respectively. LAA Scholars Daniela Rocha Acosta, Nathan Castillo and Olivia Diaz were recognized for their remarkable achievements, with Diaz receiving the Dr. John R. Hubbard Award.
