Brandon Kyle EdD ’19
Executive Director, Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association
Brandon Kyle was named executive director of the USC Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association on July 11, 2022. He brings more than 10 years of experience in alumni relations, development and nonprofit management to the position, as well as a keen understanding of USC Lambda’s priorities and traditions. Prior to joining USC Lambda in an official capacity, Kyle served on its board of directors for three years, most recently as board president.
While on the board, Kyle played an instrumental role in several projects, including the 2022 scholarship gala, “House of Lambda: Past, Present & Future,” which honored four outstanding LGBTQ+ alumni and helped to raise additional funding to support student scholarships. He also worked closely with fellow board officers and senior USC Alumni Association staff to recruit 10 new board members, and helped fortify many of USC Lambda’s relationships with groups on and off campus.
As USC Lambda’s executive director, Kyle will focus much of his energy and expertise on raising more than $1 million in scholarship assistance for deserving LGBTQ+ and allied students in perpetuity. Another top priority is expanding programming in order to connect with more alumni and supporters.
Kyle previously served as executive director of alumni & family engagement and annual giving at Pitzer College in Claremont, California. He has also led programs at several California higher education institutions and nonprofits, including Pomona College, UC Irvine, the March of Dimes Foundation and PBS-KCET.
Kyle earned a BA in journalism and media studies from San Diego State University, a master’s in public administration and nonprofit management from California State University, Northridge, and a doctorate in organizational change leadership from the USC Rossier School of Education.
Tiffany Danielle Brooks MFA ’18
Assistant Director, Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association
Tiffany D. Brooks is assistant director at the USC Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association. A screenwriter, she hails from the Bay Area and has a wealth of experience in executive leadership across diverse industries, including higher education, community development and entertainment.
Prior to joining USC Lambda, she served as the executive assistant to USC’s associate senior vice president for alumni relations. In this position, she helped manage the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors, the USC Alumni Presidents Council and the USC Alumni Council for Opportunity and Regional Engagement (Alumni CORE). Prior to joining the USC Alumni Association, she worked as executive assistant to the CEO of the African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI). AABLI helps place African American leaders onto a broad range of governing boards, and ensures that the placement process goes as smoothly as possible by actively recruiting, preparing and assisting candidates.
Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from San Francisco State University and her master’s in film and television production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Hayden Hurt

M.A. Candidate, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences
Hayden Hurt is the Graduate Assistant for the USC Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Hayden’s passion for literature and marketing blossomed early on, leading her to pursue and receive a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Marketing at USC Dornsife College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences. She is now working toward her M.A. in Literary Editing and Publishing at USC Dornsife.
Hayden aspires to work in the marketing or publicity side of the publishing industry, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices from the Black, LatinX, AAPI, LGBTQ+, and disabled communities. Her goal is to ensure these authors’ stories are shared widely and authentically.
She is thrilled to join USC Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association, where she aims to uplift the LGBTQ+ Trojan community through highlighting the efforts of scholars, board members, volunteers, and the vast alumni network. Lambda’s mission of amplifying diverse voices aligns perfectly with her commitment to equity and representation.
Darius Prince

2nd Year B.Arch student, USC School of Architecture
Darius Prince is the Student Worker for the USC Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association.
Darius grew up all over the place but spent most time in the Bay Area. He is currently studying to get his B.Arch to become a licensed architect with the hopes of starting his own firm. While working with Lambda, he hopes to make meaningful contributions and connections within the community and weave himself into the fabric of the school’s culture.
