The USC Black Alumni Association (USC BAA) is one of the first to welcome newly admitted students and their families to the new academic year at the Welcome Pinning and Affirmation Ceremony!
The USC Black Alumni Association Welcome Pinning and Affirmation Ceremony is a cherished tradition open to all newly admitted undergraduate and graduate students. The yearly event serves as a warm introduction to the Trojan Family. Enjoy a warm and inclusive atmosphere where you can connect with fellow students, meet members of the USC community, and experience food and entertainment as you begin to forge lifelong friendships. All are welcome to participate in this celebration of community, belonging, and academic excellence.

During this special moment, all newly admitted students are invited to receive a commemorative pin, presented by the USC Black Alumni Association, as a symbol of welcome into the Trojan Family.
The design of the pin reflects the heritage and contributions of Black Trojans, shared proudly as part of USC’s collective legacy. By offering this gift, the Black Alumni Association extends a spirit of community, belonging and encouragement to every new student as they begin their USC journey.
