Message from the USC Latino Alumni AssociationClosing the Book on Another Year

Dear LAA Family,

First off, we would like to congratulate our 100 graduating USC LAA scholars and welcome them to the USC alumni community! We are so very proud of their accomplishments and perseverance during some of the most difficult times in recent memory.

Fortunately, we were able to resume holding in-person events this semester. It was inspiring to gather in celebration of our valued traditions. A few weeks ago, we paid tribute to our graduating scholars at Town and Gown, where we presented them with sashes to symbolize their transition from students to alumni—and acknowledged the tireless efforts put forth by their families to make this happen.

And just last month, we raised $492,000 net for scholarships at our 47th Scholarship Gala. In addition to raising these funds, we were proud to honor this year’s USC LAA Legacy Award honoree, as well as three outstanding students. We also presented the inaugural Corporate Leadership Award to Union Bank.

As always, we are deeply grateful for your loyal support and volunteerism. I would especially like to thank the members of the USC LAA Board of Directors, the USC LAA Corporate Advisory Council and our Young Leaders Council for their dedicated service.

Fight On!
