Being an alumni mentor is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to BAA and to our students. Sharing your professional insights and advice can help a student prepare to enter the ultra-competitive job market. Students sign up for the program and are matched with a mentor; several mentor/mentee workshops are held throughout the year. The LTL program is considered to be a USC “best practice”, as it has become an integral component to the BAA’s 100% graduation rate for Black students.
Information
The Black Alumni Association (BAA) Legacy Through Leadership (LTL) Mentoring Program is designed to match alumni (mentors) with current undergradute and/or graduate students (mentees) during the academic year. Students are matched with an alumni mentor whose professional experience aligns with the mentee’s field of interest.
The program will host mentor lead topical workshops and seminars throughout each academic year, which are forums for ideas, connections, and collaborations. Through this experience, there will be opportunities to leverage student and alumni access throughout the Trojan Family Network. We are currently accepting applications for LTL mentors and mentees.
