Class of 1976 – 40th Reunion
Dear Fellow Class of 1976 Trojans,
It sure does NOT seem like it has been 40 years since our commencement!
Remember the registration cards we had to pull to register for a class—before we headed to the gym to pay our fee bill? Tuition was $2,071.50 (and that was a lot of money back then!) and campus parking was 75 cents (and we could park right on Trousdale). Remember the 32nd Street Market, the 9-0, Hamburger Hamlet, the Grinder, Tommy’s and El Cholo? And who could forget what was probably the highlight of our time at USC—our famous 55-24 come-from-behind victory over Notre Dame, resulting in a national championship. Tower of Power performed in front of thousands of students, streaking was a thing—and don’t forget our classmate who sold $5 registered parcels of land on the moon from a booth next to Tommy Trojan.
Yes, believe it or not, it’s been 40 years since these events. That’s why we are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming 40th Class Reunion on November 4-5.
Our Class of 1976 40th Reunion Committee has been hard at work with USC Alumni Association staff, planning a memorable Reunion Weekend with lots of chances to catch up with classmates and meet new friends—plus all the excitement of USC Homecoming and football (USC vs. Oregon!). So “Register” today, join our Class of 1976 Facebook group and remember to invite your friends to join us so we can all celebrate Reunion Weekend 2016 together this November!
Fight On!
