Entrepreneur and Former Corporate Executive
Carmen Herrera is an entrepreneur and CPA currently working on launching Vida for Vitality, a juice enterprise aimed at brain health, with a particular focus on underserved communities. Her corporate experience includes finance and operational roles with Fortune 500, international, start-up and Big Four public accounting companies. She began her career as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP, and spent 19 years (beginning in 2001) at Sempra Energy. In 2007, she became the first Latina director at that firm. Herrera, who holds a BS in business administration from the USC Marshall School of Business, serves on the USC Alumni Association (USCAA) Board of Governors, and is past chair of the USC Latino Alumni Association Corporate Advisory Council. She volunteers at other nonprofits and charities, and enjoys various sports in her spare time.
