Please keep in mind that in order to provide ample time for marketing your Meet Up, we require all submissions to be completed at least two weeks prior to your event. The more time we have, the better we can promote your event to maximize participation.

Who can become a host?
All degreed alumni who agree to uphold Trojan Family values and the university’s code of conduct are eligible to host a Meet Up.
I want to host a Meet Up but I am not sure how to start?
If you have any questions, be sure to reach out to the USCAA Regional office. You can also begin by joining your local alumni community groups for ideas.
How far in advance should I notify the USC Alumni Association to host a meetup?
We recommend providing at least two weeks’ notice. The more time we have, the better we can promote your event to maximize participation.
Can I host a Meet Up virtually?
Yes! Meet Ups can be conducted virtually, but keep in mind that Meet Ups will only be marketed to local Trojans only via email. However, you are welcome to post the Meet Up in any social media outlets.
What are my key responsibilities as a host?
Below is a short checklist of tasks before, during and after the Meet Up to ensure you have an enjoyable, meaningful and stress-free experience.
Before the Meet Up:
- Submit Meet Up details to the USC Alumni Association via the event details form
- Serve as the contact person for the USCAA, the organization and the participants leading up to the event
- Promote events on regional Facebook group pages and within the FightOnline Community for your region (marketing assets will be provided as needed).
- Join the FightOnline Alumni Volunteer Leaders Community to interact with other alumni volunteers and to share best practices and tips.
- Send a reminder/details email to everyone that registered, once you receive the registration list from USCAA.
During the Meet Up:
- Be present at the event.
- Arrive early—if needed, set up the site with decor and signage.
- Greet and sign-in guests
- Capture photos/videos and share on social media, tagging @usclaumni and using #USCAlumni. Photo tips:
- Capture faces in good lighting.
- Get lively group shots.
- Show off multi-generational families.
After the Meet Up (within 48 hours):
- Share sign-in list with the USCAA.
- Share photos, videos or other content with the USCAA.
- Share feedback and comments.
How do I publicize my Meet Up to USC alumni in my area?
Here are a few ways to promote your Meet Up to local Trojans:
- Post Meet Up details on Facebook on your area’s designated USCAA Regional Alumni Groups.
- Post event details in the designated FightOnline Community for your region.
- Promote the event in your personal/local network (email, text, post on LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
USCAA will:
- List events on the USCAA Event Calendar with regional registration links.
- Email all alumni in your area (for whom we have email addresses).
- Provide marketing collateral, assets and social media graphics.
