Trojan Connects brings Trojans together to build meaningful professional connections across industries, regions and career stages.

Launched in 2025 as a global networking week, Trojan Connects has grown into a year-round, worldwide program featuring a series of alumni-led career webinars and networking events – hosted by Trojans, for Trojans.

Whether you’re exploring a new industry, growing your professional network or sharing your expertise, Trojan Connects makes it easy to tap into the Trojan network.

Submit an Event Proposal

Host a Trojan Connect

You must be a USC Alum in order to host a Trojan Connect. As a host, you can choose the event format that’s right for you:

1. Host a Career Webinar
Share your industry expertise through a virtual presentation, panel discussion or workshop.

2. Host a Career Meetup
Bring Trojans together for an informal networking event centered on a shared industry, profession or career interest.

We require all proposals to be submitted at least six weeks prior to your event. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis and selected based on topic, proposal quality, program alignment and calendar availability.

Who can host a Trojan Connect?

All degreed USC alumni or official USC alumni groups who agree to uphold Trojan Family values and the university’s code of conduct are eligible to host a Trojan Connect.

Can anyone attend a Trojan Connect?

Trojan Connects are designed for USC alumni; however, USC students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

I want to host a Trojan Connect, but I don’t know where to start.

Attend or watch our Host Information Session to learn more about Trojan Connects, hosting expectations and the proposal process. If you have additional questions, email alumnicareers@usc.edu.

When will I hear back after submitting my proposal?

You will hear from our team within 7 business days of a complete submission (excluding USC winter break).

Does submitting a proposal guarantee selection?

No. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis and selected based on topic, proposal quality, program alignment and calendar availability.

What makes a strong proposal?

We’re looking for hosts who bring relevant expertise or strong community connections, a compelling event idea, and the time to thoughtfully plan and lead a meaningful experience for fellow Trojans.

Where can I host a Career Meetup?

Career Meetups can be hosted in domestic or international locations. Popular venues include coffee shops, restaurants, office spaces, coworking spaces and other welcoming environments for professional networking and conversation.

Is funding available for Career Meetups?

Career Meetups are designed to be simple, informal networking events. Hosts may choose to make their event free, ask attendees to purchase their own food or beverages or charge a ticket fee to cover event costs.

If you’re interested in hosting a more formal networking event that includes venue rentals, catering, A/V support, keynote speakers or other production elements, please contact alumnicareers@usc.edu to discuss your idea.

Can I partner with an outside organization?

Any partnerships, sponsorships, or financial support from external organizations must be reviewed and approved by the USC Alumni Association before they are included in a Trojan Connect.

What support does USC provide?

The USC Alumni Association provides planning guidance, promotional support, registration assistance and resources to help you host a successful Trojan Connect.
