Class of 1988
Dear Fellow Trojan,
Believe it or not, it’s been 30 years since graduation, and that calls for a celebration! On behalf of the Class of 1988, we are thrilled to invite you to join us for our upcoming 30th Class Reunion on November 9-10, 2018.
This fall we will have a chance to relive our campus memories. What a time it was!
Our years at USC started weeks after the 1984 Olympics ended and the campus was still in Olympics mode. As Trojans of the ’80s, we experienced two Rose Bowls and were still watching men’s basketball at the Sports Arena. Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev were winding down the Cold War, changing the world as we knew it. Springsteen rocked the Coliseum in October 1985, marking the end of his “Born in the U.S.A.” tour. Michael Jackson was everywhere, and “We Are the World,” raised money for African famine relief. And the Academy Awards were still being held next door at the Shrine Auditorium. The world was a simpler place.
Thirty years is certainly something to commemorate! That’s why the USC Alumni Association is planning a fun-filled program for Reunion Weekend 2018, including campus tours, school visits, faculty and alumni spotlights, an elegant dinner and plenty of time to celebrate with old friends and make new ones—plus all the excitement of USC Homecoming and football (USC vs. Cal). It promises to be two unforgettable days of all things USC!
Finally, as a show of support for the next generation of Trojans, please consider making a gift to any school or program at USC in honor of your special reunion. And join our Class of 1988 Facebook group to share photos and memories and connect with classmates before, during and after the festivities.
We hope to see you in November, and be sure to tell your fellow Class of ’88 Trojans to join us as well!
Fight On!
