Greg Thompson MBT ’10

What motivated you to take on this leadership role?
I care deeply about our USC community because my time at USC truly changed the trajectory of my life. It has always been important to me to represent our brand with pride, and when I reached a point in my career where I could focus on what matters most, this opportunity felt like the perfect alignment. I wanted to give back my time, my experience, and my voice to support the USC community and help advance our mission as alumni.

What are you most looking forward to as Co-Chair?
I’m looking forward to strengthening our alumni community and serving in a way that creates value for all of us over the next two years. By building a sustainable pipeline of active leaders within the USC alumni community — leaders who can carry the mission forward once our tenure ends — I believe we can establish a strong framework that will allow us to make a lasting and significant impact.

What’s something about you that others might not know?
I love STAR WARS!

What does USC mean to you, and what do you hope to achieve as network co-chair?
When I attended USC, I was exposed to a new city, a new group of classmates and was surrounded by a diverse perspective on problem-solving. LA was the first city I lived in outside of Chicago, and it was the first experience I had where I felt a comfortable sense of belonging. That propelled me personally and professionally, and I felt myself developing from day 1. It’s an experience I cannot forget and a positive impact that still affects me today.
