Eric Beard ’06

What motivated you to take on this leadership role?
The San Diego area is such a special place — it’s where I was born and raised — and it’s where I call home. Since my time at USC, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many Trojans here who have inspired and challenged me. I want to help us connect, develop personally and professionally, have fun and make lifelong friends along the way.

What are you most looking forward to as co-chair?
I’m looking forward to connecting with more members of the Trojan Family locally and helping strengthen our San Diego alumni community. My goal is to foster meaningful relationships, collaborations, partnerships and opportunities for Trojans across the region.

What’s something about you that others might not know?
I was very instrumental in a musical collaboration between Burt Bacharach, Ronald Isley and Ms. Lauryn Hill.

What does USC mean to you, and what do you hope to achieve as network co-chair?
USC changed my life. It opened doors and provided opportunities I had only dreamed of, and I remain a Trojan through and through. I love connecting with fellow Trojans and hope to make a lasting impact in the San Diego area — both personally and within the broader community.
