Jazlyn serves as director of the USC Black Alumni Association, where she leads strategic initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement, foster cross-generational connections and advance the BAA mission and legacy.
Over the course of her career, Jazlyn has built extensive experience across higher education, health care and nonprofit advancement, with a focus on business development, fundraising and diversity-centered engagement. She most recently served as the assistant vice president of business development for University Credit Union, where she advanced strategic partnerships and institutional growth. Jazlyn previously served as the director of Loyola Marymount University’s African American Alumni Association and the university’s director of diversity initiatives, where she led programs that strengthened inclusive alumni engagement and institutional collaboration. Before joining LMU, she supported philanthropic initiatives and donor relations as a development associate for the Board of Governors and Women’s Guild at Cedars-Sinai.
Jazlyn earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, with a minor in English, from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and an Executive MBA from Loyola Marymount University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Pepperdine University pursuing a PhD in global leadership and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her academic training and professional experience inform a leadership approach grounded in strategic vision, relationship-building and a sustained commitment to institutional excellence and community impact.
In her personal time, Jazlyn enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading and ice skating.
